Whether you think they're rejects from an "ugly sweater" contest or a slice of American culture, the sweaters worn by Team USA at the opening ceremony of the Winter Games in Sochi were made in the City of Commerce.

Elizabeth and Eddy Park own the Ball of Cotton knitwear company. Their team of 60 workers made the sweaters from wool that was grown in Oregon, spun in Pennsylvania and dyed in North Carolina.

Despite criticism of the Ralph Lauren design, the sweaters sold out online at $395 and one recently resold on eBay for $3,000.
