(Arlington, VA)  --  Those hoping to catch a flight out of the Washington, DC area are being warned of possible delays as the federal sequestration takes effect.  Furloughs kicked in officially on Sunday for Federal Aviation Administration workers, including air traffic controllers.

Starting this week, air traffic controllers are being furloughed one day per pay period, essentially once every two weeks.  Early this morning, there were no delays reported at Reagan National, but a spokesperson for the Washington Airports Authority says that could change as the week wears on.
