SoCal Road Rage Pits Pole Vs Machete; Pole Wins

A man was hospitalized last night after an argument between two drivers in Pasadena turned into a road rage incident with injuries.

Police say the confrontation happened last night between the two men at Los Robles Avenue and Walnut Street when one motorist criticized another driver's driving.

One man had a machete, but put it back in his car, while the other guy exited his vehicle with a foot-long metal pole.  Authorities say the victim was hit about a half-dozen times and went to a hospital with a head injury.

The assailant was identified as Michael Barnes, and was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. He is currently in jail on $30,000 dollars bail.
