Gunfire Leads to Standoff in South L.A.

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A report of shots fired led to a standoff with a barricaded suspect today in South Los Angeles. 

Officers were dispatched about 12:45 p.m. to the 1400 block of West 29th Street in the Adams-Normandie area, according to Officer Tony Im of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations office. A perimeter was set up and a SWAT team was summoned. 

About 6:15 p.m., a woman was taken into custody, NBC4 reported from the scene. 

A man remained barricaded, Im said.
