Whittier Officer Accused of Molesting Two Teen Girls

WHITTIER (CNS) - A Whittier police officer has been arrested for allegedly molesting two teenaged girls in San Bernardino County, officials there said today.

Detectives with the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department were notified on Monday by the Whittier Police Department of a sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl that occurred in Rancho Cucamonga in April, officials said.

After interviewing the girl and her mother, detectives determined the suspect -- identified as 54-year-old Whittier police Officer Francisco “Frank” Igros of Rancho Cucamonga -- was also believed to have victimized a 15-year-old girl, according to a sheriff's department release.

Detectives located and interviewed the 15-year-old and during the investigation they determined Igros allegedly molested the younger girl in Rancho Cucamonga and the older one in Ontario, officials said.

A woman identified as Lora Nagy, 41, of Rancho Cucamonga, allegedly knew about the sexual abuse but did not report it, according to the sheriff's department.

Igros was arrested on Tuesday and Nagy was arrested Thursday, officials said.

Authorities did not disclose the nature of the relationship, if any, between Igros and Nagy.

Investigators believe there may be additional victims and urge anyone with information to call Detective Janna Kovensky at (909) 387-3615.
