Former NFL Network Employee Drops Part of Sexual Harassment Case

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A former NFL Network makeup artist who sued onetime NFL defensive back star Eric Davis for alleged sexual harassment has dropped the part of her case against NFL Enterprises, the media arm that operates the network, attorneys in the case told a judge today.

A court document prepared by the clerk for Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Daniel Murphy did not state whether plaintiff Erin McParland settled with NFL Enterprises or has other reasons for not pursuing her allegations.

Davis is now the only defendant in the case, but he has not yet answered the allegations, the lawyers said. The judge set a case management conference for March 13.

McParland's suit alleges she faced ``ongoing and continuing sexual harassment'' during the time Davis was a broadcaster for the NFL Network.

``Davis (would) force his (private parts) against plaintiff and he would also rub his (private parts) on plaintiff's leg,'' according to the complaint. ``Davis also groped plaintiff's rear extremities with both hands.''

Davis, 51, is the all-time leader in consecutive NFL playoff games with at least one interception, having done so in five straight contests.
