Little Change to Average Southland Gas Prices

Holiday Travelers Benefit As Gas Prices Continue To Fall

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose one-tenth of a cent today to $3.672 following four consecutive decreases totaling nine-tenths of a cent.

The average price is seven-tenths of a cent less than one week ago but 6.1 cents more than one month ago and two-tenths of a cent higher than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has risen 28.1 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price was unchanged, remaining at $3.635 following three consecutive decreases totaling 1.6 cents. It is 2.1 cents less than one week ago but 4.6 cents more than one month ago and 2 cents higher than one year ago. It has risen 28.6 cents since the start of the year.
