Little Change to Southland Gas Prices

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A 14-day streak of rising prices ended today when the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County slipped one-tenth of a cent to $2.953.

The average price is 2.9 cents more than one week ago and 12.5 cents higher than one month ago, but 98.2 cents cheaper than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The Orange County average price rose for the 26th time in the last 28 days, inching up one-tenth of a cent to $2.923. It is 3 cents more than one week ago and 14.3 cents higher than one month ago, but 98.1 cents cheaper than one year ago.
