LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Two storms are expected to pass through parts of Los Angeles County, the first arriving Thursday and the second expected on Saturday, according to reports from the National Weather Service.

Forecasters say the first storm system will enter Los Angeles County Thursday morning with moderate to heavy rains at times and make its way out of the region on Friday.

A second storm will arrive on Saturday with light rain through Sunday. Dry weather is expected next week with cooler temperatures.

Snow levels are expected to be at 6,000 feet and 3 to 6 inches are expected above 7,000 feet in the mountain areas.

Showers are expected to taper off by early Sunday afternoon with clearing skies. No additional rain is in the forecast from Monday to Wednesday, however temperatures are expected to be below normal with light winds and plenty of sunshine.

Highs Thursday will be around 60 from the beaches to downtown Los Angeles and in the 50s in the San Fernando and San Gabriel valleys. It will be in the 50s in Santa Clarita and in the upper 40s to mid 50s in the Antelope Valley.
