Middle School Teacher Reassigned After Quiz Called President Trump 'Idiot'

A Florida middle school teacher has been reassigned after giving her students a quiz in which one of the questions called President Donald Trump an "idiot."

The multiple choice question asked students to identify the president based on the following clues: "45th Pres; 2017; Republican; Real Estate businessman; Idiot." The choices were Donald Trump, Ronald ReaganRichard Nixon, and Jimmy Carter.

One of the students snapped a photo of the online test question and showed it to her parents. Her father posted it on Twitter and went to the school to file a complaint with administrators.

"This was an actual question on my daughter's middle school test today," he wrote. "Furious. Going to raise some hell with the principle. Indoctrination will not continue."

When the school learned about the test question, they launched an investigation and reassigned the computer applications teacher. The school's principal wrote a letter to parents saying they is taking the issue seriously.

"The question was inappropriate and demonstrated an unacceptable lack of good judgment on the part of the teacher. An investigation is now underway, and the teacher has been reassigned during this process," the letter read. "Because this is an open inquiry, I am not at liberty to share any additional details with you at this point. I apologize for this incident, and for the offensive verbiage used in the question. Thank you for your patience, and your continued support of Watson B. Duncan Middle School."

The teacher did not write the question but instead chose it from a list of questions provided by Quizlet, a learning tool that helps teachers create online quizzes for their students.

Quizlet has not commented on the question or explained how it ended up in their system.
