Cops Say Father Killed His Six-Year-Old Son While Trying To Exorcise Demon

A 31-year-old man from Tucson, Arizona has been charged with murder for allegedly killing his six-year-old son while trying to perform an exorcism. Authorities say Pablo Martinez poured hot water down his son's throat and held him underneath the faucet for nearly ten minutes.

Martinez told police that he believed his son became possessed a few days earlier. He explained that while he was giving his son a bath, he "saw something evil" and "knew he had to cast the demon out."

The boy's mother, Romeliaheard her husband drowning their son in the bathroom. She tried to get him to stop but he told her "he had to do it." He began to pour cold water on the boy and perform CPR while Romelia called 911.

When police arrived, they found the young boy tucked into his bed. He was not breathing and had burns covering 15 percent of his body. He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Pablo was taken into custody and is being held by the U.S. Marshals Service.
