Lakers Announce Ticketing Information for Kobe Memorial on Feb. 24

Premiere Of Disney's "A Wrinkle In Time" - Arrivals

If you'd like to attend the Feb. 24 memorial ceremony at Staples Center for Kobe and Gianna Bryant, you'll need to be on the list. The Lakers announced Friday that beginning today and continuing through 10 p.m. Monday, people can register for the chance to purchase tickets to the memorial.

People interested in attending the event can register here: https://verifiedfan.ticketmaster.com/kobeandgianna.

Those who successfully register will receive an email Tuesday evening along with an access code that will allow them to take part in the public sale of tickets. If demand exceeds availability (which it most likely will), registered fans will be randomly chose to take part in the sale.

Tickets for the memorial event officially go on sale 10 a.m. Wednesday morning with tickets priced at $224 to 24.02 each based on location in the arena. Tickets will be non-transferable and all ticketed guests must enter with the ticket purchaser.

Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation.

Currently, there are no plans for a ceremony outside the downtown Los Angeles venue, nor at the nearby L.A. Live.

"Members of the public without tickets to the Celebration of Life are strongly advised by Staples Center and law enforcement not to come downtown near Staples Center or L.A. Live as fans without tickets will not be able to access the Staples Center site, L.A. Live site or adjacent streets,'' according to the team.

There are also no plans for a procession at this time.

The ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. on Feb. 24. Details on who will be speaking at the event have not been released, or how long the event is expected to run.

Those people without tickets will be encouraged by the team to watch the event on TV rather than coming to the venue.
