Naked Florida Man Found Wandering in Motel Tells Cops He's 'Batman'

Who knew Gotham City was located in Southwest Florida?

A Florida man was arrested this week after he was found wandering around a motel naked and telling people he was Batman last week.

Batman's secret identity was later identified as Christopher L. Jackson, 49, of Englewood. Deputies arrested him on Friday and charged him with loitering and exposure of sexual organs.

The incident began after deputies responded to the call at the Suncoast Inn in Englewood late Friday night when the motel's manager reported that a naked man had attempted to gain access to his room, WINK-TV reported.

Jackson was found sitting at a table outside the motel. He told deputies he had been staying at the motel, but had accidentally locked himself out of his room. However, the manager said Jackson was not a registered guest.

"I made multiple attempts to obtain his name and date of birth which he replied with ‘I’m Batman,’” the deputy wrote in an arrest report.

After deputies accessed the motel's surveillance footage, they saw Jackson climbing through a guardrail that runs along the building and go to the third floor where he removed his clothing. The footage showed Jackson going door-to-door, trying to gain access to a room, according to the arrest report.

Deputies located Jackson's clothes and also discovered a glass pipe, the Miami Herald reported.

Jackson was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Sarasota County for a larceny charge. He's currently in the Charlotte County Jail on a $1,000 bail, jail records show.
