Little Change to Average Southland Gas Prices

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped two-tenths of a cent today for the second consecutive day to $3.143, its lowest amount since July 23.

The average price is eight-tenths of a cent less than one week ago,3.8 cents lower than one month ago and 80.7 cents cheaper than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has decreased 47.2 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price rose one-tenth of a cent to $3.113,one day after remaining unchanged. It is four-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, 3.4 cents lower than one month ago and 78 cents cheaper than one year ago. The Orange County average price has decreased 43.2 cents since the start of the year.
