BURBANK (CNS) - An acid spill at an aerospace business in Burbank prompted the evacuation of the building and a response by a hazardous materials team, it was reported this morning.

Burbank Fire Department crews responded about midnight to a water flow alarm at a business in the 2900 block of San Fernando Boulevard.

The business was identified as Senior Aerospace by Fox 11, which added employees ran from the building after water was reportedly spilling into acid.

Adding water to acid can cause the chemical to boil over violently and splash acid throughout an area.

No injuries were immediately reported.
