The body of missing eight-month-old Miya Rudd is believed to have been found "concealed" in her home by police in Kentucky on Friday (June 14). Miya's parents, Tesla Tucker and Cage Rudd, along with her grandparents, Ricky and Billie Smith, and Taletha and David Tucker, were previously arrested on drug and child abandonment charges.

Miya had not been seen since late April, and her disappearance was reported following a welfare check in late May. During the search for Miya, police found her parents in an Owensboro hotel with meth and fentanyl pills in plain view but no sign of the baby. The parents falsely claimed that family services had taken Miya, a claim that was refuted by the Kentucky State Police.

The grandparents were arrested on unrelated warrants while authorities were investigating Miya's disappearance. The three other children in the home at the time of the arrest are now with family services.

Kentucky State Police used cadaver dog teams to search the area near the family's home. The search led to the discovery of a body believed to be Miya's. The investigation is ongoing.
