An 83-year-old California man was found safe one week after he was reported missing when his flight home was canceled due to the global IT outage caused by Crowdstrike.

Patrick A. Bailey was supposed to fly back home on July 21 after visiting his sister in Jacksonville, Florida. However, his flight was canceled, leaving him stranded in Orlando. He booked a hotel room for the night and checked out the next morning.

Unbeknownst to his family, Bailey decided to book a Greyhound bus to return home. Unfortunately, he left his cell phone at the hotel, leaving no way for his family to contact him.

When they didn't hear from him, his family reached out to the police in Orlando, and officials issued a BOLO for Bailey.

Eventually, investigators figured out that Bailey had gotten on a bus, but they had no idea where he was going. They tracked his movements across the country, speaking to witnesses and reviewing surveillance camera footage.

On Sunday, Bailey's family said they had located him in Crescent City, California.

"He is healthy and in good spirits," his family told WKMG.
