The World Series champion Dodgers return home today to face the Detroit Tigers in the first game of the 2025 Season at Dodger Stadium. The 2025 MLB season gets underway with 14 games on the schedule. The Dodgers already have a two game head start on the season after sweeping the Cubs in the Tokyo Series last week. They take on the Detroit Tigers today at Dodger Stadium. First pitch is at 4:10PM.
Here are some things to know before the game:
- New starting pitcher Blake Snell will be on the mound in the team's home opener.
- Metro is offering free rides to Dodger Stadium for fans with a game ticket.
- The team is billing the pre-game events as "a Hollywood show for the ages."
- The Dodgers will present the World Series rings before Friday night's game.
- Car and stadium gates will open at 1:10 p.m.
- Drop-off and pickup locations for Uber have changed. Vehicles for the rideshare service will now enter through Gate B, off of Stadium Way, to pick up and drop off riders in Lot 1.
