Lori Vallow Daybell, often referred to as the "doomsday cult mom," has been convicted by a jury in Phoenix for conspiring to murder her niece’s ex-husband, Brandon Boudreaux, in 2019. This marks her second murder conspiracy conviction in Arizona in less than two months. The conviction is tied to an incident where a rifle shot was fired at Boudreaux outside his home in Gilbert, Arizona, from a Jeep recognized as belonging to Vallow Daybell’s deceased daughter, Tylee Ryan.
Previously, in late April, Vallow Daybell was convicted of conspiring with her brother, Alex Cox, to kill her estranged husband, Charles Vallow, in Chandler, Arizona. Both of these incidents occurred in 2019. Vallow Daybell, who holds doomsday religious beliefs, has already been sentenced to life in prison in Idaho for the murder of her two youngest children and for plotting to kill a romantic rival.
Vallow Daybell, despite not being an attorney, chose to represent herself in both Arizona trials. She is scheduled to be sentenced for her Arizona convictions on July 25, with each conviction carrying a potential life sentence. Boudreaux has stated that his ex-wife, Melani Pawlowski, who is Vallow Daybell’s niece, was influenced by her aunt's beliefs, which included stockpiling food for the end of the world.
