< br />Civil Asset Forfeiture occurs when the government -- usually a law enforcement official -- steals the property of American citizens before they've been convicted of a crime. So, Sen. Rand Paul is fighting to preserve our rule of law with a bill he recently re-introduced on Capitol Hill to put end to these "highway robberies" that can occur often during arrests. After all, there's a little caveat in the U.S. Constitution that should prevent cops from stealing in this manner and it's called "innocent until proven guilty."
