One Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash Near Skirball center

BRENTWOOD (CNS) - One person was killed in multi-vehicle collision on the Santa Monica (405) Freeway near Brentwood Saturday.

California Highway Patrol officers were called at 3:18 a.m. to the northbound Santa Monica (405) Freeway at the Skirball Center Drive exit where they found a black four-door sedan, a blue Toyota Rav, a gold Toyota Corolla and a gray Toyota had collided, CHP Officer Sergio Garcia told City News Service.

The victim -- whose name, age and gender were not immediately known -- was pronounced dead at the scene. According to witnesses from the scene, the victim was ejected from one of the vehicles in the crash.

The CHP issued a SigAlert for the closure of three lanes of the northbound freeway for at least two hours while it investigated the collision.
