Fatal Crash Closes Northbound 110 Freeway in Gardena

A deadly car crash on the northbound 110 Freeway in Gardena, California, led to the closure of all northbound lanes on Tuesday (May 27). The accident occurred around 11:35 a.m., just south of the 91 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The victim was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains unclear, but video footage from AIR7 captured two damaged vehicles at the site. In response to the incident, all northbound traffic is being redirected to the eastbound 91 Freeway. The CHP has issued a SigAlert, indicating that the northbound lanes will remain closed until further notice.

ABC7 reports that authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes and stay updated on traffic conditions as the situation develops.
