Costco is set to open its first standalone gas station in Mission Viejo. This new facility will be the largest of its kind for the membership-only retailer, featuring 40 fuel pumps. Unlike other Costco locations, this site will not include a retail space or convenience store and will exclusively offer gasoline to Costco members.
The gas station will be located at the Mission Viejo Freeway Center on El Paseo, just two miles from an existing Costco warehouse that also sells fuel. The decision to open a fuel-only location reflects Costco's commitment to providing its members with low-cost gasoline options, a popular amenity that draws many customers.
Mission Viejo city officials have confirmed the plans, highlighting the significance of this development for both the city and Costco. The new gas station is expected to attract a significant number of Costco members, given the competitive pricing associated with the Kirkland brand fuel.
