A man suspected of killing a dog during a burglary in West Hollywood has been arrested, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Anmol Bhatia, 27, was taken into custody on Sunday around 7 p.m. in Beverly Hills. The arrest followed a tip-off from the Beverly Hills Police Department, who recognized Bhatia from a description shared by deputies.

The incident occurred on September 4, when deputies responded to a burglary report on the 1200 block of Harper Avenue. Upon arrival, the apartment resident reported that their dog had been killed during the break-in. Security footage from the apartment showed a masked man entering the residence just after 11:30 p.m. and attacking the small dog until it became unresponsive.

Bhatia, who previously lived in the apartment but was recently evicted, is also accused of stealing items during the break-in. He has been booked into the West Hollywood Station on suspicion of burglary, vandalism, and animal cruelty.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the West Hollywood Sheriff's Station. Anonymous tips can be submitted through Crime Stoppers.
